FAQs

Got Questions? Find Your Answers Here with Dalziel Agency

When should I sign up for Medicare?

Most people can enroll in Medicare during a seven-month window — three months before your 65th birthday, your birthday month, and three months after. Enrolling early helps you avoid delays or penalties.

How do I enroll in Social Security and Medicare?

You can apply for both through the Social Security Administration, either online, by phone, or in person. Our team can guide you through the process step by step to make it simple and stress-free.

What’s the difference between Medicare Part A, Part B, Part C, and Part D?

Part A covers hospital care, Part B covers doctor visits and outpatient care, Part C (Medicare Advantage) combines Parts A and B through private insurers, and Part D covers prescription drugs.

Will my doctors and prescriptions be covered?

We’ll check your plan’s provider and drug lists to make sure your preferred doctors and medications are covered before you enroll.

How much does Medicare cost?

Most people don’t pay a premium for Part A, but there are costs for Parts B, D, and Medicare Advantage plans. We’ll review all your options so you know exactly what to expect.

Do I need a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan?

It depends on your health needs and budget. We’ll explain how Medigap works and help you decide if it’s right for you.

What is the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and who qualifies?

The ACA, often called “Obamacare,” provides health insurance options for people under 65 who don’t have employer coverage. We can help you find a plan and see if you qualify for savings.

Can I have both Medicare and ACA coverage?

No. Once you qualify for Medicare, you can’t keep an ACA Marketplace plan. We’ll help you transition smoothly from ACA to Medicare when it’s time.

Can I change my Medicare plan later?

Yes. You can make changes during the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15–December 7) or under certain qualifying circumstances. We’ll remind you when it’s time to review your coverage.

How does Dalziel Agency get paid?

Our services are free to you. We’re paid by the insurance companies — so you get personal guidance at no extra cost.
